My name is Hilary Vidalakis, and I am a former “parkie”—an interp ranger, prescribed fire junkie and generalist biological technician—now, sadly, a bit removed from my most beloved landscapes, including the Greater Yellowstone. I’ve just finished a course of study in environmental humanities, seated in the foothills of northern Utah’s Wasatch and Oquirrh mountains, where I spent two years pondering juicy questions: What does it mean to be human? What does it mean to be wild? How can we all fall in love, again, every day, with the wildness that surrounds us?
I hope to use this forum to delve deeper into these questions.
